A 2D animation for the environment
We were approached by a pharmaceutical group to create a short animation. The goal was to promote a new inhaler that offers significant environmental benefits. My role involved overseeing the creation of the visuals and managing the production of the animation. I worked closely with the team to bring the concept to life, ensuring the message was clear and impactful. The project was a great opportunity to combine creativity with an important cause.

Traditional frame by frame animation
Most of the animals were meticulously animated frame by frame, allowing me to capture the fluidity and charm of traditional hand-drawn cartoons. This approach gave the animation a nostalgic, timeless feel, enhancing the expressive movements and adding a touch of personality to each character. By using this technique, I was able to bring a unique, handcrafted quality to the project, setting it apart from more conventional digital animation styles.
3D for depth and engaging camera motion
3D elements were strategically incorporated into a few key shots to add depth and dynamism, creating a more immersive visual experience. Despite using 3D, I made sure to maintain the overall 2D cartoon style, blending the two techniques seamlessly. This approach allowed me to enhance the animation’s energy and movement, while preserving the hand-drawn, classic aesthetic that defined the look and feel of the project.
